Information For Physicians | Wound Care
Indications For Patient Referral

Your patient may benefit from The Center for Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine, if he or she has:

  • Any non-healing wounds that have not shown improvement in 3 to 4 weeks

  • Any wounds involving tendon, ligament, bone, or joint

  • Any neuropathic /diabetic ulcers

  • Wounds in ischemic limbs

  • Any wound, and is immuno-compromised

  • Any wound that is painful and has been present for at least 3 weeks

Referring physicians are kept informed and involved in the patient’s regimen:

  • The Wound Center communicates with the primary physician through referral letters, healed letters, and phone calls.

  • The Wound Center focuses on the wound and its etiology.

  • The Wound Center and primary physicians collaborate to provide the best treatment for patients and their wounds.
